Fleeing Famine with a Child, the God of War Prince Becomes a Father

Adorable child | Chasing his wife after losing her | Sweet romance | Prince | Unexpectedly becoming a father

From the start, Su Jiu, a PhD in science, is fleeing for her life when she finds a half-dead handsome man in a cave.

Who could have guessed that her three-year-old son would hug the man’s leg and call out in a babyish voice, “Daddy!”

Looking at the man’s face, which resembles her son’s by seventy percent, Su Jiu is dumbfounded. Seriously? I ran away from danger and got a buy-one-get-one-free deal?

The man is Xiao Yuan, the mighty God of War of Great Xia. Mistaking Su Jiu for the woman he once spent a night with after someone schemed against him, he embarks on the awkward journey of unexpectedly becoming a father.

When learning to hold a baby, his limbs go stiff. When learning to feed one, he ends up covered in soot. But if anyone dares lay a finger on his “wife and child,” he’ll have their whole family buried with them!

Su Jiu had planned to work with him for mutual benefit, using his power to build her career. But when he “betrays” her by watching her die in a sea of flames for the sake of the greater good, her heart dies completely.

She leaves in style with a fortune, leaving him to regret it for the rest of his life!

When they meet again, she is the mysterious “Mr. Su,” richer than a nation, while he is the God of War, driven mad as he searches for his wife.

When the truth comes out and the child turns out not to be his, he falls to his knees before her, eyes bloodshot, his words drenched in anguish: “Jiu’er, I was wrong! I’ll raise our son, conquer the world, and give you my life. I only ask that you look at me once more!”
