Plotting a Rebellion with the Sesame-Filled Movie Emperor

[Sweet on the outside, dark as a black lotus within: the prince as the uke × the controlling, seductive power broker as the seme. Both are strong and Alpha, loving and destroying each other]

The first half of my life was a gamble with my life on the line.

The stakes were my dignity, my flesh and blood, and my soul.

I became the "lover" of Xie Heng, the Grand Commandant who held power over the entire court, a perfect plaything in whom he could entrust his longing.

I played the pretty fool in the eyes of the court, a pawn controlled with poison by the man on the throne.

One of my brothers wanted to grind me into the dirt; another wanted to turn me into his personal puppet.

My subordinates served me partly out of gratitude, partly for their own gain.

As for my lover, his family had a blood feud with my mother's clan, and beneath his love there were always deeper reservations.

When the shadow of the former Crown Prince's bloody case fell over the court once more, I could finally tear away every disguise.

Looking back, I realized that every cause and consequence had been written from the very beginning.

On that rainy night stained with blood, Xie Heng gripped the back of my neck and murmured with a smile:

"Your Highness, if your mother had married my father, you wouldn't have had to... live such a hard life."

From that moment on, the wheels of fate began to turn.

Now I sit enthroned in the great hall, while he bows below the steps.

I brushed my fingertips over the side of my neck where he had once held me, and smiled with a sigh:

"Minister Xie, I have you to thank for this."

"The road here has indeed been a hard one for me."

1. One-on-one couple, both each other's first, happy ending. They truly love each other, but the uke avoids emotional intimacy. There is angst in the middle and later parts, and the uke turns the tables through his incredible acting.

2. The focus is court intrigue, with every plot thread tightly interwoven. Everyone stays sharp, so read with confidence.

3. The uke has a slight harem magnet quality, but his charm comes from his complex personality and intelligence, not mindless wish fulfillment.

4. It opens with a high-stakes, iconic "rainy night" scene, with melodrama and court intrigue in equal measure, and emotion and plot given equal weight.
