On the vast continent, countless races stand side by side, and the strong rule all. Young Ling Chen was a collateral descendant of a declining family in Qingyang City. Born with “blocked spiritual meridians,” he was branded a good-for-nothing at cultivation and bullied mercilessly. By chance, he discovered a cracked, ancient jade pendant in the family’s forbidden grounds. Hidden inside it were the remnant soul and legacy of the ancient Spirit-Devouring Heavenly Venerable.
From then on, Ling Chen embarked on a path that defied heaven. Using the pendant, he devoured the spiritual qi of heaven and earth, the blood essence of demonic beasts, and even his opponents’ cultivation. He forced open his blocked meridians and forged a one-of-a-kind Spirit-Devouring Dao Body. He braved secret realms, fought prodigies, and foiled conspiracies, growing from an insignificant youth in Qingyang City into a powerful figure who shook the continent.
Yet as his cultivation deepened, he gradually discovered a shocking secret behind the Spirit-Devouring legacy, one tied to the survival of the continent: above the myriad races, “Heavenly Demons from Beyond the Realms” were watching hungrily, and his existence was key to stopping an apocalyptic catastrophe. Family, friendship, and love would be tempered amid the bloodshed. The former good-for-nothing would at last raise his sword to challenge heaven, protect all living beings with the power to devour spirits, and ascend to the pinnacle of martial cultivation.
