The real terror stems from the complete collapse and reorganization of genes - a certain experimental subject gained the ability to control biological waves and create collective hallucinations; reptilian genes were combined with viruses to give birth to killers that can perfectly mimic the environment; even plants were infected and released crazy pheromones...
They gradually revealed the truth: all the horrific mutations were just evolutionary trials and errors of the "chaos virus" on different hosts. And at the end of it all, a certain cold consciousness is observing all the data, selecting the best "products", and preparing to push the entire planet to a final form in which all life is redefined.
Survival is no longer just about fighting monsters, but also a race against the evolution speed of the virus itself. It's about trying to understand the new rules of this crazy world.
They finally understood that all weird monsters were just "learning" and "simulating" by the Chaos Virus. And deep in this city full of monsters, the original source has awakened. It is no longer satisfied with creating, but begins to stare - through the empty eye sockets of every zombie, through every piece of twisted air, quietly waiting for the final data of the next sample.
