The supernatural resurfaces, and everyone lives in fear. Chen Qing discovers in despair that he has awakened a supernatural ability called Qingming.
Other seasonal abilities can freeze the world beneath an ice throne or burn the skies with flames. But his ability is... visiting graves, burning paper offerings, and chatting with ghosts?
“Is this ability supposed to help me send the supernatural off to its grave?”
Then, after casually purifying the lowest-level “vengeful wraith,” he watches it transform into a pure spirit and bow in submission! Only then does Chen Qing realize that his Qingming ability is not about sweeping tombs, but ruling the Netherworld!
From then on, everything takes a completely different turn.
While other ability-user teams fight desperately, risking their lives to kill a single supernatural creature, Chen Qing strolls past and points a finger. “Soul, return! Enter my underworld and be appointed ‘Night Patrol Yaksha’!”
While other users of seasonal abilities establish bases in cities and recruit troops, Chen Qing simply takes over a dead city massacred by the supernatural and transforms it into the “Ghost City of Fengdu.” Within its walls are countless ghost soldiers, with Black and White Impermanence leading the way and Ox-Head and Horse-Face on patrol!
When a vast tide of supernatural creatures descends and humanity’s defenses teeter on the brink of collapse, everyone falls into despair. Then a gloomy ghost city rises from the ground, its gates swing open, and countless ghost soldiers and generals surge forth like a tide to battle the supernatural army!
“Who says the dead are useless? In my domain, death is only the beginning!”
“My name is Chen Qing. I am the Lord of Qingming. I am the Yin Emperor!”
