I Am Not a Painted Soul

Mo Chen, an art academy student, watched his graduation project, The Ink Dragon, come to life on the night its eyes were painted, devouring his mentor.

To stay alive, he was forced to awaken the forbidden power sealed within him by his grandfather: “Chaotic Ink.” From then on, he became a half-human, half-monster.

Forcibly confined to the mysterious institution known as the Containment Bureau, he became anomaly awakener No. Wu-739.

Here, he must learn to coexist with the calamity inside him, walking the line between losing control and holding on to his sanity.

Devouring souls, commanding the Ink Dragon, confronting mirror images... Every power comes at the cost of his humanity.

As the Containment Bureau's dark secrets and the icy order of the Nightwatch Hall gradually come to light,

Mo Chen will finally understand:

He is no actor, yet he is forced to play the role of a world-ending god of theater on the stage of fate.

He is no painter, yet he must use the most forbidden ink and brush to sketch out his own cruel myth.
