The story is set during the Anti-Japanese War, when all forces were intertwined. The male protagonist Zheng Jinyong is our agent lurking in the Japanese military secret service. The female protagonists each have different identities, including progressive female students, folk artists, Kuomintang agents, etc. They and Zheng Jinyong work hard for the Anti-Japanese War in their respective fields, and jointly weave a complex espionage network to deliver intelligence in enemy-occupied areas and sabotage Japanese military operations, showing the passion and tenderness, loyalty and faith in troubled times.
