In the not-too-distant future, memory uploading technology has quietly come out. Humans thought they could escape the shadow of death, but instead it led to deeper darkness. Su Zhiyuan, a doctor of ethics, is employed by a mysterious laboratory called "Mirror World" and is responsible for examining a disruptive technology that permanently divides human consciousness into "good" and "evil" parts and uploads them to the virtual world respectively. Every night, Su Zhiyuan wandered in the corridors of the laboratory, hearing the invisible data whispering inside the walls, and witnessing the divided souls shouting silently in the servers. He gradually discovered that the "evil" personality in the virtual world began to penetrate reality, controlling employees in the laboratory and causing bizarre deaths and disappearances. Faced with the collapse of ethics and the tearing of human nature, Su Zhiyuan must make a choice on the edge of the abyss of technology: Should he close the door to the unknown with his own hands, or become the next victim to be eroded by "evil"? The boundaries between technology and morality become blurred in the night, and the real terror is lurking deep in people's hearts.
