Blood Oath in Chang’an

Everyone in the capital thinks Murong Ye is an untouchable beauty who has no interest in women. Only Su Yaoguang knows he’s a madman who has to drink blood every night! He keeps her imprisoned in the palm of his hand, treating her as a stand-in for his dead beloved: “Su Yaoguang, you’re nothing but a medicinal catalyst.” To stay alive, she even plants a “life-sharing curse” that ties their lives together.

If she can’t escape, then they can suffer together! When she’s hurt, he’s tormented beyond measure; when she cries, his heart twists in pain. Later, when she really “dies,” the aloof, powerful minister vomits blood in public and goes gray overnight.

When they meet again, he kneels outside the clinic, as humble as a dog. “Yaoguang, please don’t leave me…”
