Zhao Honggang of Tongbei Quan

Zhao Honggang was born in a poor mountainous area in Gansu Province in 1989. His family was poor since he was a child. At the age of sixteen, he went to Beijing to make a living with a dream in mind. He went to construction sites, restaurants, and barber shops, and experienced hardships in life. The hard work at the bottom forged his tough will, and he was unwilling to be bound by fate. During his stay in Beijing, he got acquainted with a parkour team and started physical training. Later, he got into boxing and studied hard. With his extraordinary perseverance and understanding, he founded a personal martial arts gym in 2018, integrating the agility of parkour and the fierceness of boxing in an innovative way. However, the impact of the epidemic caused the martial arts gym to close down, and he fell into a low point in his life. In 2020, I traveled to Tibet with my friends. For 40 days, I spent 40 days wandering around the mountains and rivers, purifying my soul among the snow-capped mountains and prayer flags, and regaining my inner peace. After returning to Beijing, he met Master Chen of Tongbei Quan. He was shocked by his martial arts essence of "using mind to guide Qi and using Qi to move body", so he became a disciple. Three years of continuous cold and heat, from smashing the wrench to shaking the elastic force, from appearance to perfection. After being tempered by the UFC Slapping Championship, he won all six fights, perfectly integrating traditional martial arts with modern fighting. Finally, he understands the true meaning of "entering the Tao through martial arts", creates a realm of unity between nature and man in the inheritance of martial arts, proves the road to heaven in martial arts with his mortal body, and becomes a legend.
