Jiang He inherited an agency.
His grandfather blew himself up, leaving behind the Longmen Agency and everything he knew about Edicts.
Other people’s Edicts let them breathe fire, shoot lightning, or fly through the sky and burrow through the earth. His lets him see other people’s pasts.
Sounds pretty useless, right?
But Jiang He knows that memories are the most powerful weapon of all.
He can pluck Edicts from your memories, copy your abilities, and even rewrite your past. The price is pain a hundred times more intense across all five senses, but so what?
After taking over the agency, a woman came to him in tears, saying that silver threads had taken control of her daughter and were making her try to jump off a building in the middle of the night. Jiang He entered the girl’s memories and found a web of threads covering the entire city, with a man named Jiang Tianyang at its heart.
Jiang Tianyang, the ruler of Longmen City’s underworld, was carrying out a plan to “create a god.” He extracted the souls of Edict users, sealed them inside puppets, and turned them into weapons of absolute obedience.
And Jiang Tianyang was his biological father.
His mother, who had “died in an accident” three years ago, was being held captive at one of Jiang Tianyang’s seven strongholds, waiting for him to rescue her.
Jiang He smiled. So, he wanted to create a god?
Then he would tear down the strongholds one by one and pull out the threads one by one,
until he dragged that so-called “god” down from its altar.
Dissecting the past, breaking through the grave of reality, and reaching an ideal future.
This was Longmen, where Jiang He’s journey began and a new chapter started.
I hope you enjoy the story. Your support motivates me to write, and I’ll do my best to tell every story well!
