Late Ming: From the Start, I Fool Chongzhen with My Schemes

[Late Ming] + [Transmigration] + [Passion] + [Lighthearted Comedy] + [Every Web-Novel Trope Under the Sun] Good news: I transmigrated and awakened a System. Bad news: It’s the first year of the Chongzhen reign, and the System is called the “Failed Author System.” I have to use web-novel tropes to grow stronger. Even worse, this System is cursed! I used the tropes of a “domestic intrigue novel” to clear my name, only to be hailed as a genius strategist and sent to the capital under guard. Now I have even more enemies. I used the tropes of a “gourmet novel” to present potatoes, only for Chongzhen to treat me as an auspicious omen and appoint me to the Hanlin Academy, leaving me to roast over the fire. I used the tropes of a “military novel” to offer a strategy, only for the Jisi Incident to break out ahead of schedule. I was almost executed as a spy. I used the tropes of a “court intrigue novel” to make three factions fight each other, only for Chongzhen to lay his cards on the table: “I know you’re putting on an act.” (Me: Eyes wide with shock!) All I really wanted was to buy a house in Jiangnan and live as a wealthy gentleman! System, stop adding drama to my life! Keep this up, and I won’t just be a failed web novelist. Chongzhen and Huang Taiji will team up to crush me!
