Law and Order in the World

Shen Mo, a secretary in the Ministry of Justice of Great Sheng, is swept into the maelstrom of court politics by an unsolved case involving the grain transport system. As he works to revise the laws, he maneuvers between the factions of the Crown Prince and Prince Qi, as well as the forces of the martial world, wielding the legal code like a blade in a deadly struggle over its every clause. Faced with the shackles of millennia-old rites and laws and obstruction from every side, he vows to restore order to the realm through the rule of law. This is a battle fought without smoke or fire, yet one that will decide the empire's fate.
