Reborn as a Hospital Director

At the moment he suddenly died of a heart attack, Lin Yuan, director of Yulin City’s Qingshan District Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, could think only of the notice announcing his hospital’s merger and the fading remnants of its acupuncture department.

Reborn in 2010, he finds himself at the podium of his inauguration as hospital director. Before him lies a mess: unpaid wages, defunct equipment, and a traditional Chinese medicine department reduced to a single examination room. Behind him, the deputy director of the city hospital is closing in, coveting the land, while the future of traditional Chinese medicine hangs in the balance amid Qingshan District’s wave of market reforms.

Armed with twenty years of experience in medicine and mastery of acupuncture and catgut embedding, Lin Yuan clenches his fists. This time, he will tackle deep-rooted problems, clear away old abuses, and turn the tide before all is lost!

Guided by a healer’s compassion and propelled by management savvy, Lin Yuan will carve a path to revitalize traditional Chinese medicine amid the surging currents of the medical industry!
