The Wu Family's Undercover Heiress

This is my first time writing, so there are bound to be lots of problems. I'm not asking you to be lenient. If you don't like it, just leave via the top-left corner.

I want to write a CP, but I don't want to set my expectations too high. Let's see how it goes.

There are tons of personal headcanons. If I can't make something add up, it's a headcanon. OOC is normal. It's not my thinking that's shallow, just my writing.

The female lead is Shen Yao, a long-lived species in my headcanon, and a Qilin woman from the Zhang family. She's a failed product of the Wang family's longevity experiments. In truth, her recessive bloodline went unnoticed because incomplete Qilin blood combined with King Yama's blood.

Shen Yao is a chess piece trying to escape the game, or even destroy it. For the eighteen years of her life, she had no one by her side. Beneath her gentle, obedient exterior lay obsession and an almost self-destructive madness. To her, the process didn't matter, and neither did the outcome. The belief that kept her from going insane was her only anchor.

She has nothing in this world but hatred and suffering.

She has no one to rely on or walk beside her. She is utterly selfish and will stop at nothing to achieve her goals.

And yet, there are always surprises in this world...
