In this world, less than one tenth of the primordial energy remains. Yet people can cultivate their realms and techniques by burning away their lifespans. I can cultivate without sacrificing mine.
My eldest senior brother wields the Imperial Dao Sword Intent. My second senior brother reigns supreme over the Slaughter Dao. My third senior sister rules the stars. My fourth senior brother has mastered the Wealth Dao. My fifth senior brother sweeps demons from across the land.
I'm the sixth. My seventh junior brother wields heaven's thunder. My eighth junior brother has attained sainthood through his physical body. My ninth junior brother has treasures and blessings in abundance.
This Primordial World is familiar, yet not quite the same. The Sages have all fallen silent in the Dao, and the immortals, gods, and Buddhas across the heavens have vanished. The Heavenly Dao is shattered, and the Great Dao now governs the Three Realms and Six Paths directly.
Demons and monsters lurk everywhere. For the common people, this is the darkest of ages. Ghosts and fiends, evil spirits and monsters steal divine authority to rule over the people. A lamb from one moment takes up a blade to fight back, then sees his own kind as lambs the next. Some light torches in hopes of brightening the sky, but when humanity loses its divinity, only bestiality remains. If that's how it is, then, fellow senior and junior disciples, let's “confer the gods” together.
