He is the fourteenth son of King Nurhaci of Houjin Khan. When he was young, he witnessed the smoke of the battlefield of Sarhu and witnessed his father Khan's ambition to unify the Jurchens; he was Mergen Dai Qing under Huang Taiji, who led the Eight Banners cavalry to sweep through Mongolia. Chahar conquered Lushun, Liaodong, and emerged with his military talent; he was the regent of the Shunzhi Dynasty, turning the tide in the power whirlpool, using the battle of Shanhaiguan to establish the Central Plains, and single-handedly supported the Qing Dynasty's entry into the pass. ——He is Aixinjueluo Dorgon, an iron-blooded powerful official who was pushed to the top by fate and was wronged after his death due to power entanglements.
From the birth cry of Hetuala to the forbearing silence when his mother-in-law Abahai was buried; from the high-spirited command of the Zhengbai Banner to the strategizing of the Battle of Songjin; from the compromise choices in the battle for the throne after Huang Taiji died of illness, to the shocking feat of leading the Qing army into the Pass and welcoming Emperor Shun to establish his capital in Beijing, Dorgon's life has always been closely aligned with the historical gears of the founding of the Qing Dynasty. He was not only a military wizard who broke the confrontation between the Ming Dynasty and Mongolia, a pioneer who used iron cavalry to conquer the resistance in the Central Plains, but also a participant in the feudal imperial power game - he achieved a dynastic jump with power, but due to the controversy at the peak of his power, he suffered the bad luck of losing his title and confiscating his family after his death. It was not until a hundred years later that he was rehabilitated by Emperor Qianlong and restored to his rightful historical status.
This book restores Dorgon's legendary life, analyzes his struggles and choices in the struggle for the throne, regency management, and national policies, and finally reveals the fateful truth of the hero who "succeeded in power, but also suffered in power" under the feudal imperial power, allowing readers to understand a true and three-dimensional Dorgon in the magnificent history of the late Ming and early Qing dynasties.
Reader comments
This book is very well written, with clear organization, clever conception, appropriate wording, distinctive characters, and ups and downs of the story, but it is connected in one go without any interruption. It not only shows the historical authenticity, but also shows the author's literary attainments. I must give it a thumbs up [like][like][like][smile]
Understand the history, understand Dorgon, and continue listening and reading.
Written objectively, rich in content, worth reading
It feels like the people's soldiers have entered the city [laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing][laughing]. Do such good soldiers and regimes still need to resist? If Li Zicheng's troops had been relying on robbery, could they have formed a huge combat force to overthrow the Ming Dynasty regime? Can you survive in Beijing and become emperor? 😂😂😂 This book was probably written by a Manchu, but the writing style is good and it was very hard work.
Amitabha, this book is very beautiful. Dorgon was concerned about family and national affairs when he was young. He had a strong will and a tenacious style. He was worthy of being a politician and strategist of the Qing Dynasty who established the Central Plains and unified the country.
