When I was pushed into the same emergency room for the seventh time all day, I finally realized something was wrong.
The nurse's hand paused at the same angle every time, the heart rate monitor's beeping frequency was exactly the same every second, and even the falling speed of the sycamore leaf outside the window remained unchanged.
"What do you want to trade this time?" A cold voice sounded in his head, "How about exchanging the memory of your first love for this chance to live?"
After laughing all day long, he licked his chapped lips and responded to that voice for the first time: "No, I choose... To eat you."
