A Village Cadre Runs Poverty Relief in an Apocalyptic Ghost Town

[Post-apocalyptic wasteland + rule-based golden finger + face-slapping feel-good story + poverty alleviation and infrastructure]

Su Zhe transmigrates, and his organizational affiliation comes along with him. The only difference is that he has landed in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. He is still the first village secretary assigned to a rural post, except now his jurisdiction is City 101, ranked dead last and on the brink of dissolution.

While the other cities compete to see whose people are stronger and better killers, he faces a group of villagers ranked outside the top hundred in the city-state hierarchy. So he decides to lead them in creating a brighter future for City 101, firing the first shot in the campaign against poverty!

With no food, he gets the whole city out gathering discarded vegetable leaves and tricks highly educated professors into farming.

With nowhere to live, he rallies young and old across the city to build infrastructure, turning it into a powerhouse of construction in the wasteland.

A powerful enemy bears down, and cannons roar?

Standing at the front lines, he calmly says, “I bet your gun has no bullets.”

As soon as the words leave his mouth, the rules are rewritten, and the energy cannon poised to fire falls silent.

The powerful look at the wasteland, where the rules have been completely turned upside down. “What on earth is this guy here to do?”

Su Zhe cradles his veteran-cadre thermos and watches the former enemy commander he talked into reclaiming wasteland and farming successfully find a new job. He keeps his achievements to himself.

“Don’t ask. The answer is eight years of rural service, so this is right up my alley. Comrade, I think your land would be perfect for a collective economy.”

City 101’s slogan: “Roll up your sleeves and get to work. Prosper together, and stay united!”
