You Want Me to Be a Villainous Cannon Fodder? Then I'll Be the Protagonist!

[Dual Male Leads + System + Reborn + Devoted to Each Other + Happy Ending] [A seemingly well-behaved bottom with a slightly unhinged, narcissistic streak, Chu Ji + a loyal top who spends every day cleaning up his messes] After being reborn, Chu Ji finds himself in a world stitched together from a bunch of melodramatic, angst-filled novels. The protagonist, Ji Cheng, is the embodiment of every trope: beautiful, weak, and miserable; adored by everyone; someone’s moonlight; and the real young master who was switched at birth, among others. As for Chu Ji, he’s Ji Cheng’s foil: despised by everyone, a vicious villain, and the fake young master who was switched at birth. The System cheers him on: “As long as you stay true to your role as cannon fodder and keep face-slapping protagonist Ji Cheng, we can finish the mission and reach the peak of life!” Chu Ji rubs his hands together: “Got it. As long as I keep stealing the protagonist’s spotlight, we can finish the mission and give the protagonist a complete makeover!” As a newly born System, he’d heard from plenty of senior Systems that their first mission was usually a breeze. What he hadn’t expected was that their Hosts could be anything but ordinary. The first time: System: “Host! Go humiliate the protagonist, and make it hurt!” Chu Ji to the protagonist: “You’re so good-looking, so how come you have such terrible taste?” The protagonist, blushing: “A-Ji said I’m good-looking...” The second time: System: “Host! Go steal the protagonist’s boyfriend and make him hate you to the bone!” Chu Ji to the protagonist: “This guy’s no good. You have three days to break up with him.” The protagonist, covering his face and shrieking: “A-Ji doesn’t want me to be with anyone else!” System: “...” Wait, is this how it’s supposed to go?
