Tales of the Strange: I'm the Rules of the Abyss

Lin Yuan, Lord of the Abyss, loses his memory and arrives at the Blood-Colored Apartment, where he is forced to take a job as a night-shift security guard. This is a hunting ground for rule-based horror. Those who fail become nourishment; only those who succeed can cling to life. But no one could have imagined that this rookie guard was actually the Abyssal Sovereign who rules over “corruption and final stillness.”

The Eye of Rules sees through every loophole, while the Abyssal tentacles devour every ghost and monster. With a casual wave, he rewrites the apartment’s rules, making the slit-mouthed woman mop the floor and the headless shadow show people the way, turning the terrifying apartment into his own abyssal domain. As he faces observation and negotiation from the real-world Special Response Bureau, and the covetous attention of other supernatural tales, Lin Yuan acts as a security guard but wields the power of a ruler: devouring higher-dimensional resentment, establishing order in the Abyss, and turning the tables to reap the world of supernatural tales.

When the hunting ground of old becomes his backyard, and humanity reaches an equal exchange with the Abyss, the hidden memories and truth behind the supernatural tales gradually come to light. Lin Yuan will finally understand that he did not come here to work. He came to tear the place apart and take over the entire system of rules. This is the story of the Lord of the Abyss crushing the supernatural world from a higher dimension and rebuilding its order under the guise of a security guard.
