After the Spirit Realm falls, Su Jinyao, the last survivor of its royal family, hides in the mortal world and makes a living growing spirit plants. But when she enters a secret realm to save an elder, she unexpectedly encounters Ye Xuanchen, the Demon Realm's Emperor, whom all three realms have misunderstood. The Immortal Court monopolizes the spirit veins, and the balance of the three realms is on the verge of collapse. Forced to travel together by the secret of the spirit veins, the two go from wary suspicion to risking their lives for each other. She awakens her royal bloodline and uses spirit plants to nourish all things; he commands dark spiritual energy and protects her with his formidable strength. They seek tokens in secret realms, unravel conspiracies in dire straits, and join awakened fighters from the Immortal Court to face a hypocritical Immortal Venerable. By using the bloodlines of all three races to activate the Origin-Returning Formation, they break down prejudice between the races, save the people of the three realms, and weave a passionate tale of love that crosses the divide between immortals and demons to protect the spirit veins.
