Naruto: Reborn as the Third Hokage

The day he took up the Hokage hat, the Village Hidden in the Leaves stood on the brink of destruction.

His predecessor had fallen on a battlefield in a foreign land.

The village treasury was empty.

Enemies circled the village like vultures, waiting for its fall.

Sarutobi Hiruzen inherited a legacy of blood and fire: a village doomed to a slow, painful decline.

Everyone expected him to become a wartime Hokage.

Everyone expected him to sacrifice an entire generation in exchange for a few years of fragile peace.

But this Sarutobi... was different.

[Mission: Stabilize the village.] [Objective: Eliminate internal threats.] [Final goal: Build an unbreakable foundation.]

For years, he had watched his closest friend, Shimura Danzo, hunger for darkness, believing that power could only grow in the shadows.

He saw the clans plot against one another for power, while the council of elders remained content with the old ways of war.

So he offered Danzo a brand-new kind of darkness: not the secrets of human nature, but the secrets of logistics and supply.

Ninjutsu can win a battle, and strategy can win a war, but infrastructure... infrastructure builds empires.

The age of the God of Shinobi is over. The age of the architect has begun.
