Su Man, the youngest vice president in a multinational conglomerate's history and a ruthless efficiency manager, hits a wall at the peak of her career. By chance, she's entrusted with temporary guardianship of the three “problem children” named in her friend's will, for a term of one year.

What she's up against is a troublesome “team”:

Lu Xingchen, 16: A gifted esports prodigy and king of the online world, but a rebellious troublemaker in real life. He can hack the school system with code, yet can't handle relationships.

Lu Qingya, 13: A highly sensitive, artistic girl who hides her insecurities behind coldness and sharp words. She's a “nobody” at school, but an anonymous poetry star online.

Lu Yangguang, 5: A “little devil” with an angelic face, boundless energy, and a talent for wrecking the house. He's also a “philosopher” who comes out with one-liners, and dreams of becoming a supermarket cashier.

Everyone expects this career woman, who manages her life with “KPIs,” to fall apart. Instead, Su Man turns her home into the most challenging “startup project” of her life.

And so, everything takes a turn:

She uses an “agile development” model to manage household chores, and “SWOT analysis” to help the kids choose extracurricular activities.

She defines their rebellious behavior as “System bugs” and talks things through with them in “project reviews.”

Overnight, her management plan, tailor-made for a “problem family,” unexpectedly goes viral. #HardcoreStepmom# surges to the top of the trending charts. The internet goes from skepticism to wholehearted support, begging her to publish a book and teach a course!
