Strong heroine and hero, both devoted to each other, sweet romance, bickering pair, lighthearted political scheming
Princess Xiao Yuehua:
The late emperor's adopted daughter and the “God of Wealth” of a prosperous dynasty. She seems greedy, lecherous, and unconventional, but in truth she's a master at reading people, skilled in martial arts, and a champion of lying flat.
Her motto: “My imperial brother handles the grand promises, I make the money, my retainers are easy on the eyes, and men... ha, what a hassle.”
Commander of the Imperial Guards Gu Changfeng:
A capital-born official's son and a model Imperial Guard elite with impeccable roots. He's got an eight-pack, is upright and resolute, and is deeply prejudiced against the princess at first.
His motto: “A guard's duty is to protect, but the princess... needs to be ‘set straight.’”
