[Harry Potter Marauders Era + Sirius pairing + bickering couple + Gryffindor + sunny heroine]
Vellis Livyloc thinks she must have blown up the entire galaxy in her last life to end up stuck with the bastard Sirius Black.
As his best friend, she gets to enjoy all their adventures. As his rumored girlfriend, all she gets is murderous glares from every girl at school.
“That's absolutely a rumor!” she insists for the umpteenth time.
“What rumor?” Sirius casually slips an arm around her shoulders. “Isn't it true?”
Even worse, Vellis realizes she can no longer look him in the eye when he's smiling, or explain away all the overprotective gestures that are far too intimate.
When that kiss finally lands, all Vellis can think is that perhaps their little friendship boat was headed in the wrong direction from the very beginning.
Welcome to “Vellis and Her Men”: the unruly but loyal big dog Sirius, the haughty peacock Sander who isn't what he seems, the sharp-tongued, tsundere house cat Hilaire, and the gentle, quiet bear Regulus beneath the moonlight.
“I'm glad the arrows pierced my heart, not my wings.”
A few things to know before reading:
1. The characters belong to Rowling, the OOC is mine, and the fun belongs to everyone.
2. Multiple characters have one-sided crushes on the heroine.
3. The story respects the Marauders Era setting. The heroine can't save everyone, and this isn't a wish-fulfillment story.
4. There are many original additions, all in service of the plot.
5. The story opens in third year, with some romantic groundwork already laid.
