Lu Cu’s point of view, two male leads. I was kidnapped by a man who called himself “Guan Gen.” Like a gray shadow, he dragged me out of the bustling city and into an endless desert, carved a map into my back, and turned me into a pawn in his vast plan, with no say in the matter.
He asked if I hated him. After I blurted out, “I hate your guts,” he only fell silent in the dark and smoked a cigarette down to the butt. Sometimes this man ruffles my hair with his cold hand; other times he hurls the cruelest words at me and sends me straight to hell. He is the biting night wind of the desert, but he is also the only real thing I can cling to when all hope is lost. On this vast chessboard called “Sand Sea,” he is the one making the moves, and I am the piece he chose with his own hands.
We are forced to take shelter from the sandstorms in the same tent and pretend to be companions in a camp full of danger. I don’t know whether, in the end, our fate will become the one variable in his plan.
A little rambling: Sooner or later, I’m sending this whole bunch of idiot kidnappers to prison (just kidding).
