Hard to Win Over: The Capital's Princely Heir Is Fierce by Day and Ruthless by Night

[Sweet and Clear-Headed Rising Star x Wild, Unhinged Heir]

[Showbiz + Coercive Love + Groveling Ex + Pure Romance]

Qiao Yu is a minor actress, gentle and soft-spoken, with a sweet voice. She's known in the industry for her easygoing nature and good temper.

Jiang Yanting is the capital's most notorious playboy, born into a family of untold influence, with a temper just as formidable. His striking looks draw admirers like bees to honey, but he's wild and unrestrained, and renowned for being cold-hearted and ruthless.

He's never short of company, men and women alike, all after his power, his money, or his handsome face.

At a drinking party, he drags a tipsy Qiao Yu into a penthouse suite and sneers around the cigarette in his mouth, "Stay with me, and you can pick whatever roles you want."

She tries to shrink away in a panic, but he grips her chin and takes an intimate photo of them. "Don't want to behave? I'll make sure you disappear from showbiz tomorrow."

By day, he's her sugar daddy, forcing her to smile through business dinners. But when someone else tries to make her drink, he flips the table. "She's mine. Who do you think you are to touch her?"

At night, he traps her in his arms, kissing the bewitching little mole on her shoulder. His voice rough, he murmurs, "Say something sweet, and I'll give you my life."

Later, Qiao Yu becomes a sensation with her new drama, and at the awards ceremony, a young actor embraces her tenderly.

After the celebration banquet, the man tilts his head back. His usually arrogant, domineering features are marked by humble anguish, his eyes bloodshot and his voice hoarse:

"Yu Yu..."

"Don't go. I'm begging you."

Everyone thinks Qiao Yu climbed to the top thanks to good luck.

Until, backstage at an international film festival, the haughty heir bends down and carefully smooths her dress.

And in a brief flash of a high-definition camera lens, there it is:

Tied around his pale, sharply defined wrist is a faded strawberry hair tie meant for a girl.
