A red moon tears across the sky, and zombies overrun the world. Top assassin Lin Jin binds himself to an overpowered System, planning to kill zombies and level up, only to be pursued by an SSS-rank Zombie King. The System sounds the alarm: “Danger! Danger! You can’t win! Host, run!” But in reality, the Zombie King secretly protects him, and the zombie horde retreats on its own. Even the System can’t stop the Zombie King’s “special attention.”
It turns out the Zombie King is Gu Huai, the boy Lin Jin saved three years ago. After the apocalypse began, Gu Huai had only one obsession: protecting him. To stay by Lin Jin’s side, Gu Huai disguises himself as an adorable, obedient survivor and begs to be taken in.
The System is repeatedly crushed by the Zombie King, while Lin Jin gradually falls for this ridiculously powerful little sweetheart as they spend time together. When the disguise is exposed, the ultimate boss turns out to be a clingy Zombie King. The System asks, “Host! Is it too late to run?” Lin Jin replies, “Why run? Of course I’m keeping him and spoiling him!” The two powerhouses join forces and charge through the apocalypse. Sweet, hilarious romance as the Zombie King pretends to be good and obedient!
