On the eternal-night wasteland of the far north, Lin Jin carries the broken sword Slay Delusion in search of Star Mother Iron. The Heavenly Dao ambushes him with its Falling Star Prison, but he uses his Sword Sense to weave through a meteor shower. Before a meteor crater, he encounters a star-marked iron beast. Spotting a gap between its scales, he launches a surprise attack and slays the giant beast with a cross-slash from his broken sword, obtaining Star Mother Iron powder. But then a temporal rift erupts. Using Sword-Calmed Mind, Lin Jin cleaves through the rift and claims the Star Mother Iron, only to draw the pursuit of chains of law. Next, he must face a law-enforcing sword cultivator and seek a fragment of the Heavenly Rules.
