Douluo Dalu: The Black Dragon Legend

The protagonist ignores the main storyline and develops on his own

Ye Chen, an ordinary boy from Qingzhu Village, broke every convention of Douluo Dalu on the day of his Martial Soul Awakening at age six. A Dark Ink Black Dragon Martial Soul appeared in his palm, resonating with the ancient Dragon Soul Mother Jade and awakening a unique Hundred Thousand Year Soul Ring, black with dark gold dragon patterns. Inherited from the Dark Ink Dragon Venerable of the Dragon God era, this Soul Ring not only grants him the supreme privilege of "resonance through shared origin," allowing him to master the two Soul Skills "Ink Dragon Sky-Splitting Claw" and "Dark Ink Dragon Breath" at age six, but also lets him fuse them for twice the power. Its growth potential and concealment far surpass the limits of ordinary Hundred Thousand Year Soul Rings.

The mysterious dragon markings on his chest, the ink-colored space deep in his consciousness, and the million-year inheritance secrets carried by the Dragon Soul Mother Jade all mean Ye Chen's path was never destined to be ordinary. From his first display of talent at Notting Academy to exploring the secrets of the Star Dou Great Forest, he will build on his Innate Full Soul Power and wield his Ten-Thousand-Year Dragon Soul Body as a blade. Amid conflicts between Soul Masters and Soul Beasts and the rise and fall of the ancient Dragon Clan, he will unlock the infinite possibilities of Soul Ring evolution and uncover the long-buried truth of the Dragon God War.

This is a passionate epic of inheritance and an underdog's rise. A boy bearing the hopes of the dark Dragon Clan will one day shatter his shackles with the might of a black dragon and make the glory of the Dragon God era bloom anew across Douluo Dalu!
