The more than 270 years of Wei, Jin, Southern and Northern Dynasties were one of the most chaotic and darkest periods in the history of Chinese civilization, but also the most vibrant and magnificent. It begins with an internal fight among the royal family (The Rebellion of the Eight Kings) and ends with another internal fight among the royal family (Chen Shubao's Absurdity). During this period, heroes and butchers coexisted, and romance and bloodshed were intertwined. The barbarian cavalry crushed the old order of the Central Plains, and in the furnace of blood and fire, they forged a new, more powerful China with Han culture.
