The Imperial Capital Beneath Falling Leaves

The “frail and sickly” eldest legitimate daughter of the Marquis of Dingyuan was disfigured in a fire three years ago. She wears a veil every day and is gentle and long-suffering, known throughout the capital as a “good-for-nothing beauty.” In truth, she is the daughter of a former dynasty’s minister of justice. Her family was framed for treason and executed to the last. She is the sole survivor. Under the assumed name “Ghost Doctor,” she secretly investigates the injustice done to her family and gathers evidence, traveling the martial world with her peerless medical skills and talent for disguise. Beneath her veil is not a disfigured face, but a disguise. From the “Ghost Doctor,” consumed by revenge and closed off from her feelings, she gradually comes to terms with her past and ultimately chooses to let go of her hatred, joining hands with her beloved to expose the ultimate conspiracy and begin a new life.
