The Delightful Detective's Notebook, also known as My Roommate Is a Cat
Folklore graduate student Shen Yu moves into the notorious "Haunted House" for the sake of his thesis, summoning up his courage to do so.
On his very first night, he's so terrified that he nearly drops out on the spot.
Crying? Knocking? Something's wrong with this place!
To protect himself, he brandishes a peachwood sword to drive out the ghost. He fails to expel it, but does "drive out" Mo Chen, a stunningly handsome, haughty, sharp-tongued house spirit.
To prove his innocence, Shen Yu, a materialist who's a total coward, signs an "unequal contract" with Mo Chen, a neat freak with obsessive-compulsive tendencies whose true form is a cat.
And so, the Folklore Affairs Investigation Team (Temporary) is born!
Shen Yu handles the theoretical analysis, fieldwork, and screaming.
Mo Chen handles the muscle, the elegant cleanup, and the snark.
When a ghost-fearing "husky" scholar meets a haughty "ragdoll cat" house spirit, one urban legend after another is investigated amid utter chaos, gradually unveiling a secret hidden for a thousand years...
