After 99 Reboots with My Best Friend, We Switched Love Interests

After transmigrating with my best friend and restarting for the 99th time without winning over the emperor she was supposed to pursue, I finally snapped. “Move aside. I’ll help you win over that damned emperor, and you go after the regent villain I’m responsible for!” My best friend’s eyes welled up. “You’re such a loyal friend! But what if I can’t win over the regent either?” I said confidently, “Impossible! Every time we restart, all it takes is a curl of my finger and he comes running. He’s easier to win over than the big yellow dog at his residence!” But just a few days after our 100th restart, something went wrong. A palace eunuch came tumbling in to report, “Disaster, Your Majesty! The regent has stormed the palace with ten thousand elite soldiers!” The regent dragged my best friend, bound hand and foot, into the palace. “You’ve got the wrong person this time. Switch us back, now!” The damned emperor gave a cold laugh too. “I was going to come find you last night. Who wants your woman?” My best friend and I stared at each other. Wait, how did they know we’d switched places?
