Interstellar Mechanic: Raising My Little Sister on a Junk Planet

[Veteran soldier + hardcore farming + heartwarming siblings + unmatched technical skills]

I was once the empire's greatest mech mechanic. Now all I want is to open a repair shop on a garbage planet and raise the little sister I found in peace.

But no matter how still the waters, the wind keeps blowing.

Old enemies and bullies right in front of me all want to test my limits.

I wanted to keep a low profile, but the “Greatest Mechanic” System insists I show off.

Build an imperial guard-class mech from scrap metal? Make a self-sustaining ecosystem out of cans?

It's not like I want to, but the System gives me way too much!

I planned to stay on my little patch of land, until my sister used one of my homemade “toys” to blast the flagship of the space pirates who came looking for trouble…

We stared at each other.

“Big brother,” she said, blinking her innocent eyes, “I think… I might've caused trouble?”

I looked at the imperial fleet and alien broodships closing in across the sea of stars, sighed, and quietly picked up the toolbox by my feet.

You don't get it. I'm a mechanic. It's perfectly reasonable to carry a few “little gadgets” for self-defense, right?

This is a heartwarming (?) and passionate story about a retired veteran who just wanted to farm but is forced back into action, using a wrench and maxed-out technical skills to build a peaceful haven for his little sister among the stars.
