After sleeping under the barren tomb for a hundred years, Mo Ku woke up with a body of white bones. There is no memory of the past life, no overwhelming hatred, just a skeleton and a head full of inappropriate and out-of-line thoughts. He lived in the troubled times of Dajing where humans and ghosts were intertwined. Everyone in the world avoided him, but he felt that the world was full of joy - when he was hungry, he could chew dead wood as snacks, when he was cold, he could wrap himself in a rag and use it as a cloak, and when he encountered robbers, he could even take apart a rib to scare them away.
He originally wanted to be an idle skeleton wandering around the world, but trouble always came: the Taoist priest who was afraid of ghosts cried and wanted to take him in, the money-grubbing female thief forced him to join forces to rob tombs, and even the serious general asked him to be the "house mascot." He doesn't understand the rules of the world, but he always manages to get it right in absurd situations - he accidentally breaks through the trap of the evil way, saves the kidnapped princess in a daze, and even becomes a legend in the world because of his strong bones.
But as he comes into contact with more and more people and things, visions of the resurrected souls appear one after another, and clues about his life experience gradually emerge. On the one hand, there are ridiculous human adventures, and on the other hand, there are shocking secrets that hide murderous intentions. Mo Ku has no choice but to use his sense of humor and carry his skeleton to find a "serious" path unique to skeletons in troubled times. After all, even if you are a skeleton, you still have to have some fun in this world.
