During the Republic of China, a group of folk patriots emerged in Wuxi, south of the Yangtze River. They were ordinary working people at the grassroots level. They each had their own skills, united with each other, helped each other, and faced the national crisis together. They worked together to eradicate the notorious traitor Sha Kezi, fought against the Japanese invaders, and continued to move forward bravely, composing a heroic piece of music.
