My Secret Crush: I’m Quietly Waiting Behind You

On someone else's map, I found my own coordinates.

The spark of a rainy night at a convenience store was the first glimmer of light that Bai Zhi didn't dare to speak of in her bleak youth. Caught between her family's pressure that “science is the only path to a future” and her secret longing for the humanities, she was lost.

Then an upperclasswoman returned to her school to give a speech and told her, “Even beneath the abyss, there are miles of bright future ahead.”

And the sight of the dazzling boy she had met that rainy night walking alongside the upperclasswoman she admired made the distance between their worlds all the clearer.

When Bai Zhi finally found the courage to write her first word on the humanities exam,

she had no idea that the paper would earn her more than a leap in her grades:

it would also be a precious ticket to an unexpected future...

A coming-of-age story that begins with a humble, unrequited crush and ends with self-discovery.
