Cherry Blossom Trap

He thought he had found a homeless puppy, never realizing he was raising the very wolf who coveted his throne.

Fu Chengyuan, the true godfather of Night Eagle Group, held power over both the underworld and the legitimate business world. Seven years ago, he met Shen Ye on a university campus: a boy as pure as a blank sheet of paper, who blushed as he asked Fu for help. Softhearted for a moment, Fu took this "innocence" under his wing and trained him with care.

He taught him how to survive and how to scheme, but forgot to teach him loyalty.

Seven years later, the group was in turmoil and the old leader had died suddenly. To everyone's shock, Shen Ye, the angel-faced young man Fu had always protected, used the most ruthless methods to purge the senior leadership and claim a throne equal to Fu's.

At the new leader's inauguration, he smiled innocently at Fu in front of everyone, his voice as sweet as poison:

"Mr. Fu, I've learned everything you taught me. Now I'm here to take back everything that belongs to me."

Thus began the war between two great kingpins. They tore into each other amid schemes and betrayals, then clung to each other desperately amid gunfire and bloodshed. Fu thought it was a revenge that would last until death, until Shen Ye took a fatal bullet for him and smiled through his tears in Fu's arms:

"I spent seven years deceiving you, and a lifetime loving you. Fu Chengyuan, we're... even now."

Only then did Fu finally realize that this scheme, spanning seven years, had begun with deception and been mired in manipulation, but ended with the purest of hearts.
