A Trillion from the Start: Building a Base in Northern Myanmar

After failing the civil service exam for the fourth time, 27-year-old Gu Yuan is cast aside by the world. But his obsession with “getting a government job” unexpectedly activates the Global Peace Fund System, giving him one hundred billion dollars from the start!

The System tells him: The world’s government positions are the real iron rice bowls!

[You placed an order to build a base. A steel army from Siberia has constructed a fortress for you!]

[You posted a security job opening. A Chinese special forces king, cast aside by the establishment, has come to serve you, baring your first set of fangs!]

[You posted an analyst job opening. A top investigative journalist, blacklisted across the internet, has joined you to build a global intelligence network!]

[You use money to force open national borders, making sovereign states change their laws for you!]

[You use force to crush warlords, making the rules of “Dragon Shield” the sole truth of the Third World!]

Special Forces King Xiao Feng: Boss, my life is yours! I’ll walk this road of no return with you to the very end!

Queen of Intelligence Wu Fei: Boss, give me a fulcrum, and I can pry loose every secret on this planet!

Russian Bear Ivan: Boss, as long as the rubles keep coming, we can drive an aircraft carrier to the top of a mountain!

As one “Dragon Nest” base after another rises across the globe, as the flag of “Dragon Shield International” becomes the sole symbol of peace and order, and as everyone looks at him in awe and calls him “Lord of Order,” Gu Yuan sits upon his throne and suddenly understands:

So the end of the universe is passing the civil service exam!
