On November 20, 2126, the gray sky screen hung low as an unknown epidemic struck the globe, and the world collapsed in an instant, becoming a living hell. Twenty-seven-year-old Chen Chong was near death with a high fever. He drifted in and out of consciousness, believing his life was about to end, but when he woke, the virus had mysteriously receded, and he discovered that he could control flames at will with the power awakened in his palm! Outside his window, zombies roamed the once-bustling streets, and the roars of wild beasts shook the air. More bizarre still, a combat-power panel unique to each living creature appeared before his eyes: zombies had a combat rating of 8, and killing them let him steal their combat power. His own starting rating was 10, clearly marked “Fire-Type Ability User.”
The devastating plague unleashed an apocalyptic catastrophe, yet unexpectedly gave ordinary Chen Chong a chance to be reborn from the brink of death. With flames as his blade, he cuts through the chaos; with the panel as his guide, he determines life and death. Amid rampant zombies and danger at every turn, he will cleave through the darkness with his awakened fire, steadily level up his abilities, and carve out a legendary path to survival for ability users through blood and fire!
