My Days Scraping By in the Underworld

At twenty, his life came to an abrupt end. Lin Xiaxi never imagined that what seemed like an accidental drowning would mark the end of his allotted years.

Transformed into a wandering spirit, he stands before his own dilapidated new grave, watching the false grief of his only surviving relatives, his uncle and aunt, and hearing the troubling secrets behind the word "compensation." His parents disappeared when he was seven, leaving him to live under someone else's roof and endure both kindness and cruelty. Now he has died under mysterious circumstances, and his overwhelming grievance and resentment keep him from peacefully passing into the underworld.

What Lin Xiaxi doesn't know is that his fate was no accident. Behind him, a mysterious "Underworld Patrolman" from beyond the human realm watches in secret, assessing his obsession and potential. The hidden origins of the Lin family, along with the extraordinary resilience of his soul flame, have made him a "special subject of observation" in the eyes of certain beings.

From a confused wronged spirit to one who understands the balance between yin and yang, Lin Xiaxi's days scraping by in the underworld are destined to be full of thorns and secrets at every turn. He must uncover the truth behind his wrongful death and solve the mystery of his parents' disappearance. He must also carve out a place for himself in the unfathomable and treacherous order of the netherworld.
