Shen Yue, a Ph. D. In the Department of Modern History, traveled to Handan of Zhao State during an archaeological accident at the end of the Warring States Period (around 259 BC). King Qin Zhaoxiang was besieging Handan. Ying Zheng (about 3 years old at the time), the son of Qin's son Ying Yiren and Zhao Ji, was trapped in Zhao State as a hostage. He and his mother lived a humiliating life of being bullied by Zhao people and hiding in Tibet. With knowledge far ahead of his time and an accurate grasp of historical trends, Shen Yue unexpectedly became Ying Zheng's "big brother" and enlightenment teacher. He used modern thinking to reshape the future First Emperor's understanding, and ultimately assisted him in his counterattack and return to the country, unifying the six countries, and pushing Chinese civilization to the world stage ahead of schedule.
