Chief Eunuch, My Blade Sees Both Yin and Yang

When she opens her eyes, top forensic pathologist Shen Qingci has become a young eunuch in the Cold Palace. To her surprise, she also gains the ability to see ghosts, and now she sees them every day.

To stay alive, she has no choice but to cling to Pei Zhiyan, the powerful director of the Eastern Depot, while pretending she simply has a keen sense of smell and sharp observational skills.

Pei Zhiyan holds the court in the palm of his hand. He is as beautiful as an immortal, with a heart like a demon's. He keeps the young eunuch at his side as a “human clue detector,” only to find the murder cases growing ever more bizarre: a woman's corpse in a dry well begins to speak, ghostly music claims souls, and traces of the former dynasty's forbidden art, “The Netherworld Map,” keep appearing deep within the palace.

Gripping her chin, he demands, “Who are you, really?”

She kneels and swears her loyalty: “This servant is merely a blade in the director's hand.”

Then, on the night of the palace coup, he is poisoned while protecting her. She tears open her eunuch's robes and uses her blood as a catalyst to summon a procession of ghosts!

Only then does Pei Zhiyan realize that the one he picked up was no young eunuch, but a ruler of the underworld capable of stirring the balance between yin and yang. He smiles softly. “Little liar, it turns out I'm the one who became your accomplice.”
