Marriage Before Love: The Mistaken Daughter Is His One and Only

Powerful CEO | Marriage Before Love | Hilarious, Sweet Romance | Secret Identities | Play the Pig to Eat the Tiger

On the night Wen Li, a fake heiress, is thrown out of her home, she “picks up” a handsome but down-on-his-luck working guy at a convenience store and impulsively marries him.

She expects married life to be a struggle and rolls up her sleeves, ready to support the family. Little does she know that her husband, supposedly so broke he can barely make a sound, is Ji Yu, the trillionaire tycoon who rules the business world!

To play along with his wife’s script and protect this hard-won slice of ordinary life, Ji Yu launches into the performance of a lifetime:

He hides priceless antiques in the basement and replaces them with decor from Pinduoduo’s 9.9-yuan free-shipping deals;

He leaves his limited-edition Maybach in the garage and cruises around in a Wuling Hongguang souped up with a racing engine;

He even puts on peony-print sleeves and plays the “prettiest janitor” in his own company’s headquarters.

Outsiders mock Wen Li for marrying a useless man, waiting for the chance to laugh at her.

Instead:

Her green-tea scheming sister gets publicly humiliated, and her snobbish relatives who looked down on her go bankrupt overnight.

As Wen Li watches secret identities keep falling into place, she falls into thought. “Honey, why does the world’s richest man look exactly like you?”

Ji Yu calmly peels a crayfish for her without even looking up. “Common face. Pure coincidence.”

“The whole city knows I’m the richest man around. Only my wife thinks I make three thousand a month.”

This is the story of an optimistic, delightfully goofy fallen heiress and a devoted, cunning tycoon who loves putting on an act. Amid the chaos of living together, they fall for each other and spoil each other to the fullest.
