Jujutsu Kaisen: Fighting the Heavenly Restriction Tyrant from the Start

When the strongest Sorcerer Killer collides with a shadow master who controls the laws of nature.

“He’s a beast who deserted his clan, and I’m a shadow adrift. We should have been each other’s worst possible encounter.”

Toji Zenin, the Heavenly Restriction who left his clan behind, possessed a body with no cursed energy and believed in a survival-of-the-fittest law built on violence. During his rootless wanderings, he never imagined anyone could stand beside him, let alone a delicate, troublesome pretty boy.

Cang Lian, a mysterious being with the power to control shadows and gravity, had lived for ages, doing whatever he pleased and regarding everything with detached curiosity and interest. He thought there was nothing left in this world worth stopping for, until he met that fierce, lonely beast.

A fierce battle in a rain-soaked alley was the start of their adversarial acquaintance.

Their repeated bickering and one-upping became a unique form of recognition between two strong opponents.

From Kyoto to the Shadow Corridor, from life-and-death battles to everyday squabbles, they clumsily drew closer amid gunfire and quiet moments, fiercely protecting each other.

“He doesn’t understand love. He just gets annoyed when he sees me, and even more annoyed when he doesn’t.”

“I don’t need love. I only know that he’s the one person I want to keep by my side.”

As the beast learned to sheathe his claws, and the shadow took on the warmth of everyday life,

as two powerful souls who stood apart from the world found their home in each other’s scars and warmth.

This is a story about two powerful “abnormal people” going from enemies to partners, learning about love and belonging amid bloodshed, fire, bickering, and laughter.

The shadow will eventually embrace his beast, and the beast will bow to only one person.
