The Immortal Flower

[Framed as the “Bodhisattva Ghost” in the eyes of the world: Qiong Xiyan. Willing to become a demon for love, He Yi will even wager half his life to bring his beloved back.]

[Heart-wrenching + plot-driven + large ensemble cast + happy ending]

Qiong Xiyan used to be an ordinary high school student, but after seeing monsters, everyone thought she was crazy.

Qiong Xiyan: So what if I'm crazy? I can still make the most of it!

When she was nine, she dreamed of an ancient man named He Yi. He slowly healed her, and the things he gave her could even be brought into the real world.

Qiong Xiyan: Hehe, He Yi is so nice.

She fell asleep holding a talisman every night. She thought He Yi would always be with her, but he disappeared when she was in her third year of high school. With her only emotional support gone, the monsters she'd encountered before began haunting her again.

Qiong Xiyan: I might as well die. Get it over with.

But just as she was preparing to wait for death, He Yi really did appear and drove away all the monsters tormenting her.

Qiong Xiyan: Wow, you're amazing!

He Yi takes Qiong Xiyan to their world. At first, she's full of curiosity about it, but after spending some time there, she realizes that she seems to belong in this world after all. She had simply been brought back to life.

In her previous life, someone pushed her into the Ruolan River, where she was burned alive.

Qiong Xiyan: That's so unfair...

What she doesn't know is that for five hundred years after her death, someone kept losing his memories as he searched for her, repeatedly climbing back out of the abyss. To keep himself from forgetting Qiong Xiyan, he forced their red thread of fate straight through his heart, piercing the flesh in front of it into the shape of an ice-crystal snowflake.
