Shangguan Yi, the legitimate daughter of the General’s Manor, has spent years moving through the capital disguised as a man under the name “Young Master Xiaoyao,” building an underground intelligence network to uncover the truth behind her elder brother’s wrongful conviction on the battlefield. After an unexpected “heroic rescue,” she meets Gu Zhixuan, an easygoing prince, unaware that he is the very person she has been searching for: a key player holding crucial evidence. As they investigate a vast conspiracy sweeping through the entire court, they go from testing one another to fighting side by side. In the end, they expose the truth, and she goes from being a “fake princess consort” to a true one in name and fact, joining Gu Zhixuan in protecting their homeland and realm.
