I Was Made a Marquis in the Shang Dynasty

The Black Bird descended and Shang was born, settling in the vast lands of Yin.

This was a land blessed by the gods, where cracks in oracle bones concealed the mysteries of Heaven’s mandate, and bronze ritual vessels were cast to embody the glory of the ancestors. Yet it was also a desolate wilderness, where salt flats glimmered white with frost, foreign tribes surrounded the borders, and nobles’ rivalries lurked like hidden arrows.

When a modern soul steeped in oracle-bone studies for thirty years falls into an earthen hut 3,200 years in the past, when archaeology professor Lin Xuan becomes Zi Xuan, a fallen noble of the Zi clan, what he grips is no longer a brush and magnifying glass, but a coarse pottery bowl for survival and a sharpened shard of bronze.

With knowledge as his plow and courage as his seed, what legend will he cultivate on this endless land of Yin?
